A last minute holiday, booked only three weeks prior. We were after a family-fun, no-fuss holiday to keep us all entertained. We also didn’t want to travel too far, and wanted some sunshine.
Bendiorm wasn’t on my family holiday wish list. Whenever I’d heard of people travelling there, the main objective was to go for a cheap, ‘singles’ break away in the sun, or for a hen and stag do. Even when I was younger, it wasn’t really my vibe. So I bet you’re wondering why I bothered to go in the first place?
Well, three weeks before the kids were due to break up for half-term we decided we needed a holiday. After an emotional year we needed to get away and because we’d already travelled to Turkey in May, we weren’t really in a position to splash out on another holiday. So the search was on to find somewhere for us all to have some fun that would be good value for a family of five.
We booked Magic Natura Animal, Water Park & Polynesian Lodge Resort, and honestly I was so impressed with the set up. We went with their basic all inclusive package, with a Bali Supreme Lodge. This was a 2-bedroom lodge with a living area that had a sofa bed in it. It meant that the twins could share the room with bunk beds, my eldest son could have the sofa-bed and we could have the double room. What a luxury when travelling with children – I really struggle with family rooms where we’re all in the same room! On site there are also 3 swimming pools, gardens, seating areas and football pitches as well as a buffet restaurant and some themed restaurants.
The best thing about booking this hotel, is that you have unlimited access to the zoo and waterpark which are both located next door. The zoo has a range of free shows and talks that you can go to, which run throughout the day and there’s no need to book (we went to the bird show which I highly recommend). It was the same in the water park; there are a variety of water slides, flumes and splash areas as well as free things to do such as a talk with the sea lions. If you want, you can pay extra to swim with them. Whilst visiting the water park you can also make use of the all inclusive by visiting the top bar/restaurant. Here you can get unlimited drinks, snacks and ice-cream which was a bonus!

In a nutshell…
Positives
Negatives
Would we stay again?
Yes, if it wasn’t our main holiday. Fab for the kids!
